Itinerary
DAY 1 – MUNICH
Arrive and transfer to your Munich hotel. Meet your Tour Host in the hotel lounge at 6.00pm to meet your fellow travellers. Dinner is at your own arrangements.
DAY 2 – MUNICH, PASSAU & THE DANUBE
This morning we depart Munich for Passau, the charming German city where the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers meet. Known as the “City of Three Rivers”, Passau is renowned for its beautifully preserved Baroque Old Town and the magnificent St Stephen’s Cathedral with its distinctive onion-domed towers.
This afternoon we board our Danube River cruise. Settle into your cabin, explore the ship and enjoy a Welcome Dinner as we begin our journey.

DAY 3 – KREMS, AUSTRIA
Discover the historic riverside town of Krems, renowned for its wine heritage, medieval streets and charming architecture. We also visit the impressive Benedictine Göttweig Abbey, overlooking the beautiful Wachau Valley.

DAY 4 – ESZTERGOM & BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
Visit Esztergom and its magnificent basilica, the largest church in Hungary, before cruising on to Budapest. This evening enjoy the magical sight of Budapest illuminated at night, followed by a traditional Hungarian folk music and dance performance.

DAY 5 – BUDAPEST
Enjoy a full day exploring one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals. Discover Castle Hill, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion and the city’s grand boulevards, or choose an optional excursion to the Hungarian countryside and the famous Puszta horse show.

DAY 6 – BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA
Cruise into Slovakia’s capital, surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian Mountains. Our sightseeing includes Bratislava Castle overlooking the delightful Old Town before another evening enjoying the city’s illuminated skyline.

DAY 7 – VIENNA, AUSTRIA
Our guided tour introduces the highlights of elegant Vienna, including the State Opera, Hofburg Palace, Parliament, Burgtheater, Town Hall and the impressive Votive Church.

DAY 8 – LINZ, AUSTRIA
Spend the day exploring the charming riverside city of Linz or join one of the optional excursions offered by the cruise. (Today’s itinerary is subject to river conditions.)

DAY 9 – PASSAU & OBERAMMERGAU, GERMANY
After disembarking this morning, we travel by coach into the spectacular Bavarian Alps and our home for the next two nights. Enjoy time to relax, explore the hotel and the surrounding alpine scenery before dinner together this evening.

DAY 10 – OBERAMMERGAU PASSION PLAY
Enjoy a leisurely morning discovering picturesque Oberammergau, famous for its colourful painted buildings, traditional woodcarving workshops, churches and charming Christmas shops.
This afternoon we experience the highlight of our journey—the world-famous Oberammergau Passion Play. Performed only once every decade, this remarkable production is presented in two parts with an included meal during the interval. Theatre tickets, meal voucher and guide booklet are all included before we return to our hotel this evening.

DAY 11 – VERONA, ITALY
We travel south through the Alps to Verona, one of Italy’s most romantic cities. Discover Juliet’s Balcony, the impressive Roman Arena, Piazza delle Erbe and the city’s beautifully preserved medieval streets. Overnight in Verona.

DAY 12 – ASSISI, ITALY
Today we travel to the spiritual hill town of Assisi, birthplace of Saints Francis and Clare. Visit the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels, the Porziuncola Chapel, the Rose Garden and the magnificent Basilica of St Francis before overnighting in Assisi.

DAY 13 – ROME – THE ETERNAL CITY
Following breakfast we travel to Rome, where we visit the Vatican Museums and the magnificent St Peter’s Basilica, the spiritual heart of the Catholic Church. Marvel at masterpieces created by Michelangelo, Raphael and Bernini before checking into our hotel for the final night.
This evening we celebrate our journey together with an included Farewell Dinner.

DAY 14 – ROME
After breakfast, our tour concludes with a transfer to Rome Fiumicino International Airport, unless you have chosen to extend your stay in Italy.

Enjoy free time to explore the Eternal City at your own pace. Visit the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps or simply soak up the atmosphere of this remarkable and ancient city.
