Itinerary

Day 1: Tel Aviv

Transfer on arrival. Free time until our Welcome Dinner (included) tonight. Meals: D

Day 2: Tel Aviv – Caesarea – Haifa – Mt. Carmel – Nazareth – Cana

Ancient Roman cities, aqueduct and fortresses, panoramic views, Mt Carmel Carmelite Monastery, Nazareth, the Church of the Annunciation and Mary’s Well. Overnight Tiberias.

Day 3: Mount of Beatitudes – Tabgha – Capernaum – Golan Heights

Cruise the Sea of Galilee, visit the Mount of Beatitudes, sites of the Sermon on the Mount and Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes, Capernaum and the River Jordan. Return to Tiberias.

Day 4: Beit Shean – Jericho – Jerusalem

Visit Yardenit, the Baptismal Centre on the Jordan River, and continue to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Accommodation for four nights in Jerusalem.

Day 5: Jerusalem – Bethlehem

Visit the Old City, Western (Wailing) Wall, Temple Mount, Dome on the Rock, Via Dolorosa, Pool of Bethesda, Church of St Anne, Bethlehem Church of the Nativity and the Garden Tomb.

Day 6: Jerusalem

Visit the Mount of Olives, Church of the Ascension, Garden of Gethsemane, Kidron Valley, the tombs of Absalom, Zachariah and James, St. Peter’s Gallicantu, Mount Zion, the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, the Dead Sea Scrolls display, and Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and Memorial.

Day 7: Dead Sea – Massada – Qumran

Travel to the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Take the cable car to the top of Massada to visit Herod’s fortress, continue to Qumran and enjoy an optional swim in the Dead Sea.

Day 8: Tel Aviv – Zurich

After breakfast we transfer for our flight to Zurich, Switzerland. On arrival we transfer to our hotel.

Day 9: Neuschwanstein Castle

Depart Zurich and visit the picturesque Neuschwanstein Castle, the inspiration for the Disney castle. Accommodation for two nights in Oberammergau.

Day 10: Oberammergau Passion Play

After breakfast we depart for the village of Oberammergau. There is time for a little exploring before attending the Oberammergau Passion Play today.

Day 11: Oberammergau – Florence

After breakfast we depart for Florence. Overnight in the Florence area.

Day 12: Florence – Assisi – Rome

Visit the Basilica of St Francis of Assisi before continuing to Rome for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Rome

Tour ancient Rome including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps.

Day 14: Rome

This morning we have our much anticipated visit to Vatican City, St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel.

Day 15: Rome

After breakfast we transfer to the airport for onward travel arrangements.
