Main meals are included on this tour. Our groups typically comprise a mix of solo travellers and couples. If you are by yourself – you are WILL NOT be travelling alone.

Itinerary
This tour commences and concludes in Colombo, and operates on select dates between 01 May to 31 October.
We operate UNIQUE SMALL GROUP tours to Sri Lanka on select dates throughout all seasons.
However the following itinerary operates only over during limited season.
For tours from Nov to April refer Sri Lanka Discovery (Tour ref SLD).
Day 1: Colombo
- Welcome at the Colombo International airport.
- Transfer to Granbell Hotel (or similar), Colombo.
- Welcome dinner and overnight stay at Granbell Hotel (or similar), Colombo. D
Day 2: Colombo, Galle, Dutch Fort
- Leave for Galle after breakfast.
- Enroute sightseeing tour in Colombo inclusive of the Victorian quarter and main street in Colombo.
- Depart Colombo for Galle. Check into Araliya Beach Hotel (or similar), Galle.
- Afternoon sundown walking tour in the World Heritage Dutch Fort, in Galle.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Araliya Beach Hotel (or similar), Galle. B,D
Day 3: Orphan elephants, Waterfalls, tea plantations, Little Adam, 9 Arch Bridge
- Leave for Elle after breakfast.
- En route stop at Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe and the Rwawana water waterfalls.
- Afternoon visit the Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak for the sundown.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Grand Hotel (or similar), Nuwaraeliya. B,D
Day 4: Scenic Railway, Horton Plains, Worlds End Cliff, Bakers Waterfall, Moon Plains Jeep Safari, High Tea in style, Nuwaraeliya
There are two included options today:
Option A: Leave for Horton Plains national park early in the morning. Trek to World’s End Cliff and Baker’s Waterfalls.
Option B: Jeep Safari in the Moon Plains.
Take the scenic train from Pattipola to Talawakele followed by a famous High Tea at the Grand Hotel, Nuwaraeliya Afternoon sightseeing tour in Nuwaraeliya. Includes are Racecourse, Golf Club, Holy Trinity church, Lion’s Pub etc. Dinner and overnight stay at Grand Hotel (or similar), Nuwaraeliya. B,HT,D
Day 5: Tea Plantations, Ramoda Waterfall, Royal Botanic Garden, Kandy
Leave for Kandy after breakfast . En route, visit a tea plantation and Tea factory, stop for photos at Ramboda waterfalls and visit the Royal Botanical Garden, Kandy.
Dinner and overnight stay at Thilanka Hotel (or similar), Kandy. B,D
Day 6: Kandy, Buddhas Tooth, Arturs Seat, Gems, crafts
- After breakfast leave for the sightseeing tour in Kandy.
- Includes are morning service ceremony at the Sacred Temple Of The Tooth Of Buddha, Artur’s seat view point, Gem Museum, Kandyan Art and Crafts and walking tour followed by lunch at a local family house.
- Free and relaxing afternoon.
- Watch the included Kandyan Cultural show in the evening.
- Explore the local nightlife followed by dinner at Royal Hotel and Bar, in Kandy. The Royal Hotel is the Last Sri Lankan King’s chief minister’s residence which was later converted into a hotel.
- Stay overnight at Thilanka Hotel (or similar), Kandy. B,L,D
Day 7: Spice Gardens, traditional cooking, Cave temple
- Leave for Sigiriya after breakfast.
- Enroute, visit a Spice Garden in Matale. Short Cookery demonstration followed by lunch at Spice Garden.
- Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple in the afternoon.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Ekho Sigiriya (or similar). B,L,D
Day 8: Sigiriya Lion Fortress, Polonnaruwa, Local village
- Early morning visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
- After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa medieval Kingdom.
- Sightseeing tour in Polonnaruwa. Lunch at a local village family run restaurant.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Ekho Sigiriya (or similar). B,L,D
Day 9: Trincomalee, Fort Frederick
- Leave for Trincomalee after breakfast .
- Sightseeing tour in Trincomalee before checking into the Trinco Blu By Cinnamon (or similar), Trincomalee. Includes are Koneshwaram Temple , Fort Frederick , Navel Museum , War Cemetery and Hot springs.
- Free and relaxing afternoon.
- Overnight stay in Trinco Blu By Cinnamon (or similar), Trincomalee. B,D
Day 10: Trincomalee
- Free and relaxing day at the beach resort.
- Optional activities from resort – Pigeon Island excursion for snorkeling .
- Overnight stay at Trinco Blu By Cinnamon (or similar). Trincomalee. B,D
Day 11: Mihintale, Anuradhapura, Safari
- Leave for Anuradhapura.
- Enroute, visit the Mihintale archaeological site.
- Check into Rajarata Hotel (or similar), Anuradhapura.
- Afternoon Jeep safari to Wilpattu National Park with wild elephants, water buffalo, deer, storks, horn bills and possibly Leopards and Sloth Bears.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Rajarata Hotel (or similar), Anuradhapura. B,D
Day 12: Anuradhapura, Negombo
- Morning sightseeing tour in the Anuradhapura ancient city.
- Leave for Negombo in the afternoon.
- Farewell dinner and overnight stay at Jetwing Beach (or similar), Negombo. B,D
Day 13: Colombo
Transfer to Colombo International airport according to the flight schedule. (Late Check out at 4.00 pm). Tour ends with majority group transfer. B
