Join us as we visit Bluff in New Zealand’s Southland to celebrate the festival and sample fresh local seafood.

We arrive in Invercargill on the Friday ready for the day long festival on the Saturday. Then to top it off we experience the amazing local museums and galleries, including one dedicated to Burt Munro of The Worlds Fastest Indian fame.

N.B: The Bluff Oyster is a wild resource and affected by weather and other natural variations so there is no guarantee of availability of Bluff Oysters at any one time.

Itinerary

Tour commences and concludes in Invercargill.
Day 1 – Friday. Arrive Invercargill
On arrival transfer to our centrally located accommodation and base for the next 3 nights. The afternoon is free until we meet to share a pre-dinner refreshments and a shared Welcome Dinner tonight.
Day 2 – Saturday. The Bluff Oyster Festival
The big day today. We depart Invercargill for nearby Bluff – the most southerly town in New Zealand and the base for the fishing fleet who harvest the Southern Oceans and the Bluff Oysters. There is a varied and full programme and entertainment as well as seafood sampling. We recommend you dress up warm as the breeze of the Southern Ocean can be cold. Your tour package includes entry to the festival. B
Day 3 – Sunday. Museums and galleries
Today we enjoy a relaxed day as we explore some of the amazing museums and galleries on offer. See the attached sheet for recommendations. B
Day 4 – Monday. Depart Invercargill
After breakfast its time to depart Invercargill. B
