This tour combines the best of both places and is a once only tour.The tour is a unique itinerary designed specifically with New Zealand garden lovers in mind, but we also visit other highlights – including markets, scenic highlights, specialty food and craft producers.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Melbourne
Welcome to Melbourne. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Meet your Tour Director and travelling companions at a welcome dinner this evening. (D)
Day 2 – Melbourne International Flower Show
Enjoy a full day at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. Wander through stunning floral displays, landscape gardens and demonstrations by leading experts. (B)
Day 3 – Melbourne at leisure
A free day to relax or explore Melbourne at your own pace. Stroll along the Yarra, visit galleries or take a coffee in a laneway café. (B)
Day 4 – Melbourne to Hobart
Transfer to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Hobart. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour including Battery Point, Constitution Dock and the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. (B,D)
Day 5 – Hobart and surrounds
Today travel to Mt Wellington for panoramic views. Visit Richmond, a historic village with beautiful sandstone architecture. The afternoon is at leisure in Hobart. (B)
Day 6 – Hobart to Port Arthur
Travel east to the Tasman Peninsula and explore the Port Arthur Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage location. Tour the ruins and gardens and hear the convict stories that shaped Tasmania. Return to Hobart. (B)
Day 7 – Hobart to Strahan
Journey through the rugged Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, with stops at Lake St Clair and the Wall in the Wilderness. Continue to Strahan on the edge of Macquarie Harbour. (B,D)
Day 8 – Strahan to Cradle Mountain
This morning take a cruise on the Gordon River through pristine wilderness. Disembark to see Sarah Island, once a harsh penal settlement. Continue to Cradle Mountain. (B,L,D)
Day 9 – Cradle Mountain
Explore Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, a natural wonderland. Visit Dove Lake, enjoy alpine walks and see wildlife unique to Tasmania. (B,D)
Day 10 – Cradle Mountain to Launceston
Travel via Sheffield, the “Town of Murals,” then through the fertile Meander Valley. Stop at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm before reaching Launceston. (B,D)
Day 11 – Launceston
This morning visit the Cataract Gorge, then enjoy a guided tour and tasting at Josef Chromy Wines. The afternoon is free to explore the city at leisure. (B,D)
Day 12 – Launceston and departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Tour concludes. (B)
