Welcome to Hobart, the gateway to Bloomin’ Tassie. For those on the recommended flight you will be met and transferred to our centrally located hotel. This evening meet your Tour Manager and fellow travellers at the ‘Taste of Tasmania’ Welcome. Accom 2 nights Hobart. D
Today there is the opportunity to explore this picturesque city on your Included activity. Choose from:
(1) cruise the sheltered waters of the Derwent River and D’Entrecasteaux Channel to Peppermint Bay
(subject to minimum numbers and/or seasonal operations) ; or (2) take a private tour of Hobart and
the Huon Valley and taste some Huon Valley delicacies; or (3) take a tour of Australia’s oldest brewery, the Cascade Brewery, Woodstock gardens and the Cascade Museum; or (4) take the MONA ferry and
tour the MONA museum of Modern and Old Art (Must be pre-booked). B
Depart Hobart this morning and discover some of the stunning delights of this lush green island.
Heading west travel to Mount Field National Park. Included is an easy walk through the lush rainforest
to view stunning Russell Falls. Included Visit to the amazing Wall in the Wilderness, a history in the
making, learn the story of the Central Highlands region being carved from three metre high panels.
Enter the southern part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage area and visit Lake Saint Clair,
Australia’s deepest natural freshwater lake. Continue to picturesque Strahan for overnight.B,D
Today is a highlight is the breath taking Franklin-Lower Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. Indulge in a
gourmet lunch of local delicacies. Cruise through Macquarie Harbour to Hell’s Gates, where the
harbour meets the ocean. Travel along the serene Gordon River and visit Heritage Landing for a guided
walk through the rainforest amongst trees that are thousands of years old. Your journey includes a visit to Sarah Island, where your expert guide will regale you with stories of the convict life on the island as you explore the settlement ruins. Disembark the cruise this afternoon and travel through rugged wilderness to the pristine stunning alpine vistas of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake Saint Clair National Park where you will enjoy two nights to discover this magnificent region. Another highlight waits today on your Included tour where your expert local guide will show you all the highlights including Dove Lake and the famous Cradle Mountain view. Travel this morning to the quaint towns of Penguin and historic Ulverstone and then continue to Sheffield. On your Included tour you will learn about the history of this Kentish town dating back to the early 1800’s and discover the colourful murals decorating the town’s buildings and walls. Then in the charming city of Launceston enjoy your Included visit to the famous Cataract Gorge Reserve and ride on the world’s longest single span chairlift. Take time to explore at leisure the network of easy walking trails before continuing to your hotel in the heart of the city. Accomn 2 nights Launceston. B

Depart Launceston this morning. Visit Yondover Dairy farm and be welcomed by the owners for a tour
of their dairy and sample some of their delicious homemade goat’s cheeses. Then at Ledgerwood stop
to see the historic trees depicting carvings of the fallen World War 1 soldiers they were planted to
commemorate. Continue to the east coast of Tasmania and the small coastal towns of St Helen’s and
Bicheno. Then take a spectacular drive along the stunning east coast to Freycinet National Park where
you will enjoy two nights to discover this untouched coastal wilderness. This luxurious lodge has a
spectacular waterfront location just inside the National Park overlooking Great Oyster Bay. Accom 2
nights Freycinet National Park.
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore this spectacular coastal wilderness area at your own pace. Marvel at
the myriad of colours for which Freycinet is renowned - pink granite mountains, white sandy beaches
and sparkling turquoise seawater. Take one of the walks from the lodge, including one to view the
sparkling blue waters of Wineglass Bay, enjoy the lodge facilities or simply relax and watch the sunset

This morning farewell Freycinet and continue on your journey to visit some of Tasmania’s key historic
and well known townships. Stop to see the convict-built Spiky Bridge and take a step back in time on
your Included visit to the historic town of Richmond, Australia’s most delightful Georgian village where
you will see Australia’s oldest bridge, dating back to 1825 and built by convict labour. This afternoon on
your private tour of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, you will meet and learn about the shy and elusive
Tasmanian Devil. Accom 2 nights Hobart.B
A highlight today is your Included full day included tour to the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur
historic site, on the southern tip of the Tasman Peninsula. See the spectacular natural formations of
the famous Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen in the Tasman National Park. At Port Arthur, your expert
local guide will take you on a tour of this former penal settlement. You then have free time to explore
at your own pace before our Included cruise around the harbour and return to Hobart. This evening
enjoy your dinner of sumptuous local fare and say farewell to your new-found friends. B
